Interview with Author Terri Jay
Hello Terri, Welcome to WorldAuthors.Org! Please tell us about yourself.
My name is Terri Jay. I am an author, speaker, clinician, entertainer and more. I am an intuitive, medium, animal communicator, horse whisperer, medical and veterinary intuitive, remote viewer, map dowser, and I communicate with people who cannot such as those in a coma, PVS, TBI’s, severe Alzheimer’s, dementia, severe Autism, neuromuscular diseases, strokes and more.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have Haflinger horses and I like to trail ride when I have time. I also do a lot of writing in my spare time as I have 4 more books to complete in my intuitive series.
Can you tell us a little bit about your journey?
In 1990 while doing a horse back therapy program, I “heard” a non-verbal child speak to me. Once I had it confirmed, the suggestion was made to learn to communicate with the horses because all animals are telepathic. One thing has led to another and now I know that there are no limits to the types of information that I can discern from the Universe. Writing about how physics governs this communication is one of my passions. I want to teach others how to do this communication for a happier, healthier, more abundant life.
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Intuitive, happy, comedienne.
What inspires you?
I have a raging desire to teach others how to develop the intuitive abilities that they were born with. It’s why I am so driven to continue to write books in specific areas so those with different interests can still benefit and then realize that the skills they can develop can help them in so many other ways, other than just animals, or just people who can’t communicate, or just people on the other side.
How did you get into writing?
In my 20’s, I started a non-profit charity to provide free horseback therapy to disabled kids. I learned to write from doing grant applications to fund the program. Grant applications require you to be very clear, precise and answer the question posed. Otherwise, you don’t get the funding. I did the horseback therapy program on and off for 35 years. So I had a lot of experience writing grants and was very successful doing it. I always wanted to share HOW I do my work so others could do the same so it was just easy to start writing about my work instead of grant applications. It took a lot of attempts over many years before I finally wrote my first book, “The Cowgirl Shaman Way – Seven Easy Steps to Develop Your Intuitive Ability.” My second book was much easier and came out in less than 6 months. My next book is on medium-ship. Then I will do three separate books on animal communication based on species.
Can you tell us what inspired your book/ work and what is the story behind it?
I am continually amazed at the details that come through in readings. I can’t make this stuff up. Every reading that I do for my clients is so fun for me because it is not MY stuff. I learn so much doing it too. The biggest benefit is the healing energy that comes through. If someone is grieving and they get specific information from their loved one who has passed, it helps them to heal. If I get medical or veterinary intuition for a client, they then know what steps to take to help the healing process. When you have a loved one that is impacted with an injury or disease that makes it impossible for them to communicate, the messages that I relay from them to their loved ones can be incredibly beneficial.
Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share?
I am working on my medium-ship book which I hope to have out this Spring. I think it will blow the lid off the whole “woo-woo” aspect of medium-ship. I am also in a series which will be on a large network and I am playing myself. I did readings for a client many years ago which ended up saving him a lot of money and heartache when he got into a bad marriage. It evolved into a book and screen play and now it will be a series. I am also pitching my own television show so I can just do reading after reading and help more people with the messages of healing and hope.
What are your goals and aspirations?
My greatest desire now is for a national TV show. The information that I receive for one person is absolutely applicable to perhaps thousands more, whether about animals, relationships, finances, health and more. I think the details that come through, which is information that I could not have had previous knowledge about, will convince people that this ability is real and that anyone can learn to do it.
