The powerhouse writers behind the timeless classic Deewaar are Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. Deewaar is considered the epitome of cinematic excellence, capturing the essence of human emotions, familial conflicts, and societal struggles.

One of the most successful movies in Indian cinema, Deewaar, is directed by the legendary director Yash Chopra. The film has not only left an unforgettable mark on Indian cinema but also given the Hindi film industry its angry young man through Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary actor, got the tag of an angry-young-man hero with the release of Deewaar. With its legendary dialogue and gripping storyline, the movie stands as a testament to the writing prowess of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar.

The characters of Vijay Verma and Ravi Verma, portrayed brilliantly by Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor, respectively, became the personifications of societal contrasts, moral dilemmas, and conflicts of the mind.

The legendary “Mere paas Maa hai…” (“I have a mother…”) dialogue remains a testimony to the writing brilliance of Salim-Javed, continuing to impress cinemaphiles even today. Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar’s collaboration on Deewaar remains the perfect example of Indian cinema at its best, with a perfect storyline, emotional touch, strong characters, compelling storytelling, and powerful dialogues.
