Mumbai, India – Isha Ambani Piramal, Director of Reliance Industries Limited, unveiled the book “Being Breast-Aware: What Every Woman Must Know” at the India Breast Meeting 2024. This launch took place alongside medical experts and stakeholders united in the battle against breast cancer.
Authored by Dr. Vijay Haribhakti, Chair of Onco Sciences at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, the book aims to shed light on crucial aspects of breast health. It is a part of the global breast cancer convention, India Breast Meeting 2024, organized by the hospital.

Breast cancer stands as the leading human cancer globally, affecting millions of women every year. In 2022 alone, 2.3 million women were diagnosed with breast cancer, resulting in 670,000 deaths. The book “Being Breast-Aware: What Every Woman Must Know” serves as a comprehensive guide, providing precise information from medical experts. It aims to aid in prevention, early detection, and optimal care for breast cancer, crucial factors in improving survival rates and enhancing quality of life.
To further bolster breast health services, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital offers the “One Stop Breast Clinic.” This initiative ensures that any woman with a possible or confirmed breast disease receives a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment pathway within two hours.
The book launch event, held on April 6th, 2024, at the esteemed Regal Room in Trident Hotel, Nariman Point, Mumbai, marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
