Hello Author David Konrad, Welcome to WorldAuthors.Org! Tell us what drives you to write? Your motivation and the purpose of your book(s)?
Seeing kids at play. As I’m typing this, my boys are playing with Legos right here next to me, and I love to just eavesdrop on them and enjoy their creativity and imagination. The motivation and true purpose of my books is to make my boys, and hopefully some other kids along the way, enjoy reading.

What do you hope readers will get out of your books? How will they feel or be different after reading it?
I hope my readers get a “kick”, a rush of adrenaline while reading my books. This series in particular is designed to be fun and adventurous, and that’s the dominant theme. The readers should feel that anything’s possible after reading these books. No problem is too big, no obstacle to high if you only have a little bit of self-confidence and some good friends to help you along.

What books did you read as a kid/young adult? What are you reading today? How have other authors inspired your writing?
As a kid I used to read a lot of European children’s novels authors. Like Karl May, for example. But mostly adventure and mystery novels. I like similar novels today, such as the works of Lee Child, Dan Brown or David Baldacci. All of these authors were a huge inspiration, and I even took certain online “masterclass” courses taught by them.

What is one thing in your book that will surprise readers? (no spoilers though!)
There will be twists and turns as you go along. Sometimes the villain(s) won’t be known until the very end, sometimes their (or the heroes’) destinies won’t be clear until the end. But the story will keep you turn pages until you find out.

What are you working on next? More books?
Absolutely. Book 5 of the Project Adventure series is already in the drafting phase, so I expect it to be published in a matter of next few months. And I will keep going after that, both with Project Adventure series, and (hopefully) some standalone novels.
