Some people literally put in a lot of effort to become good writers. However, there are some natural instincts that a writer is born with, which are as follows:

    1. Creativity

Creativity is the biggest strength that a writer will always have. Using your creativity to its fullest potential is essential while writing.

    2. Originality

Writing novels or stories is a competitive field, and if you want to stand out, you need to come up with an original story or angle. You may also have a keen eye for details that could prove useful in your line of employment.

    3. You already write a lot

If you’re known to write a lot, and a lot of other people approach you for their writing related tasks, then it’s a sign of being a good writer. Even if your friends are asking for your opinion on their projects, assignments, or resumes. If people go to you for advice and assistance, you probably have some skill as a writer.

    4. Ability to organize your thoughts

If you have the ability to organize your thoughts in a way that they are straightforward for the reader to follow, you have a good enough grasp of language conventions.

    5. You read a lot

Believe it or not, reading a lot can improve your writing abilities tremendously. Reading is a great way to unwind, but it also helps you learn new words, helps you figure out what kind of stories interest you, and shape your voice when you put pen to paper.

    6. Curiosity to learn

You are curious and willing to take in new information, including criticism. If you take feedback positively and learn from them, you’re surely on the path to becoming a good writer.
