    ABOUT AUTHOR HARPER LEE

    Harper Lee was an American novelist, best known for her classic novel “To Kill a Mockingbird.” She was born on April 28, 1926, in Monroeville, Alabama, and grew up in a close-knit community with a strong literary tradition. After graduating from high school, Lee attended the University of Alabama, where she studied law.
