William Goldstein is the CEO of StaffHealth, one of the countries fastest growing healthcare staffing firms. He was previously President of PhysicianJobs.com. William founded Nationwide Medical Services in Norfolk, VA in 1992.

Hello, Welcome to WorldAuthors.Org! Can you tell us a little bit about you?
Hello! Sure, I’m William Goldstein. I’m well known as a recruiter in the healthcare industry. I’ve grown several companies in the sector. In fact, my company, StaffHealth, is probably the fastest growing company in the health care staffing industry today. And it’s not the first company I’ve grown. I have a proven track record of building tech companies and staffing firms from scratch. But, I don’t want to talk to much about me. I would like to talk about what it takes to focused enough to do that.

So, let’s talk about your book, How to Focus, what makes it unique?
Well, there are plenty of books out there for getting control over one’s own thoughts, but I find that most of them are all about silencing that voice in your head through methods like meditation. This isn’t like that. It’s a book full of scientifically proven methods and techniques for improving concentration. It’s not about doing less, it’s about getting more done.

Why do you think it is that people have such a difficult time remaining focused?
Well, there are distractions all around us. I don’t just mean the people that stop by to say hello, but also there’s an unprecedented amount of advertising and communications happening – much of it right at our fingertips. There’s no doubt that people today have a harder time concentrating than they did in years past. And it’s getting worse. Some studies, for example, say that the average attention span of a Millennial is 12 seconds, but for Generation Z, it’s only eight seconds.

So, what’s the secret? How can we improve our attention span and get more done?
Well, the answer is pretty simple really: reduce your distractions, develop a better system, and turn that system into a habit. All of the techniques and methods that are proven to work can be found in my book.

What made you decide to write a book?
I have years of experience helping both businesses and people succeed. I’ve found that one thing that often holds people back is difficulty finishing tasks, sometimes they find themselves distracted, other times they just aren’t able to concentrate. Over the years, I’ve learned some techniques to develop laser like focus. Why not share those and help others achieve their goals.

So where can we purchase your book?
It’s available through bookstores and on Amazon.
