Sonya T. Anderson is a graduate of Grace Bible College (ministerial licensing); Bloomsburg University (English Education); and Pennsylvania State University (Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction). Her desire is to see others develop a more intimate relationship with Yahweh, through His Son, Yeshua.

HELLO AUTHOR SONYA T. ANDERSON! WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR READERS TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
If there was a single thing that I’d like my readers to know it is that my overall focus is to please my heavenly Father.

WHEN DID YOU FIRST REALIZE THAT YOU WANTED TO BE A WRITER?
I have always been a great reader. As a lover of excellent prose I yearned to write stories that presented themselves in everyday life. Early on, my teachers and college professors encouraged me in my writing endeavors. Today, I primarily write non-fiction.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO WRITE A BOOK?
I have now written and published nearly 30 books. I tend to wait for inspiration to write. Once inspired, I can write a book in approximately 30 days. My average is about 6 weeks. This is from inception to cover design.

OF ALL OF THE BOOKS YOU HAVE WRITTEN, WHICH ONE IS YOUR FAVORITE?
It is hard to pick out a true favorite because each of my books represent a personal journey for me. My Torah Time Digest Series are the ones that I research and write the most. Each thematic topic is an exploration into spiritual truths that I ponder long afterwards.

WHAT DO YOU THINK MAKES A GOOD STORY?
A great story immerses the reader using figurative language, sensory details, a believable plot, and memorable characters. If I read a book and it plays out like a movie in my head, where I am experiencing the story rather than simply reading it, then that is good writing.

CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOUR TORAH TIME DIGEST SERIES?
Torah Time Digest was created to facilitate your private devotion time, or group bible study. These Hebraic roots studies are presented in twelve easily formatted lessons. It may be used as a study tool that engages the reader in detailed biblical topics that aren’t always widely studied. These detailed studies enable the lay person to organize a study group in their home fellowship, or local assembly.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR EMERGING WRITERS?
Stay focused. Stay committed; and never give up on yourself. Writing is a craft. There is always more to learn.
