Author of a Game of Thrones

George R.R. Martin is the author of the famous epic fantasy series A Game of Thrones which has also been adapted into the series. Born in 1948, Martin’s A Game of Thrones has become a household name in the world of fantasy literature.

As a child, George R.R. Martin used to write monster stories which he would sell to his neighbourhood in Bayonne for a penny. He developed an interest in reading, writing and storytelling at a young age.

In 1996, Martin’s first book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, titled A Game of Thrones, was published. It gained instant success and the book received a lot of praise from the critics as well. Now, A Game of Thrones enjoys a devoted fan base.

A Game of Thrones series has five books in total while two remaining planned books are yet to be published. The series became famous for its complex plot, intriguing storyline, powerful characterization and innumerable twists and turns.
