Varaha Roopam, also known as Varaha Avatar, is one of the ten major avatars of Lord Vishnu in Hindu mythology. In this incarnation, Lord Vishnu takes the form of a boar to rescue the Earth goddess, Bhudevi, from the demon Hiranyaksha. The demon had taken her to the depths of the cosmic ocean, and to save her, Lord Vishnu descends to the underwater realm.

In the Varaha Roopam, Lord Vishnu is depicted as a gigantic boar with a human-like body. He carries the Earth goddess on his tusks, lifting her out of the ocean and restoring her to her rightful place. This avatar symbolizes the divine protection of the Earth and the victory of good over evil.

The Varaha Roopam is a significant story in Hindu mythology, showcasing the benevolence and power of Lord Vishnu in preserving and upholding dharma (righteousness). It is often depicted in various Hindu temples and artworks, and its significance is celebrated in religious festivals and rituals.
