In a competitive job market, it is imperative to have a strong resume to get interviews and secure the job you desire. Your resume is the first impression you make on your employers, and it needs to show your skills, experience, accomplishments, education, and a lot more. Here are some of the ways to make your resume stronger.

    Use a Professional Format

The format of your resume plays a key role in how professional it looks. It is better to use a clean, professional design with clear headings and bullet points to improve readability. Keep a standard font like Arial or Times New Roman and the font size between 10 and 12 points.

    Proofread for Errors

A resume carrying spelling or grammatical errors can leave a negative impression and create a bad impression, as employers would notice that and criticize it. Always proofread your resume perfectly, and make it error-free.

    Add Relevant Keywords

If you are sending your resume to many places, it is better to add relevant keywords because they help reach more and more people. The keywords can be related to specific skills, qualifications, and work-related words that would help it become more relevant.
