Powerhouse songstress Sophia Galaté invites listeners into her most confident and carefree era yet with the release of her debut album, ‘For My Own Entertainment,’ a bold, genre-bending body of work that blends nostalgic R&B roots with vibrant bursts of pop and funk. The project arrives alongside a pink dreamscape visual reflecting Sophia’s vibrant personality and the album’s unapologetically fun tone.
On ‘For My Own Entertainment,’ Sophia enlists R&B favorite Dende for a standout feature on “Just For A Moment,” while the project’s lush, soulful production is helmed by Grammy-winning producers D.K. the Punisher (Kehlani) and Akeel Henry (Jazmine Sullivan, Ari Lennox, Victoria Monét).
The result is a project that’s equal parts introspective and playful – a sonic reflection of a woman fully embracing who she is, reclaiming her joy, and doing things purely for herself.

“This album marks a big energetic shift for me – one that’s bolder and more fun,” says Sophia. “I really wanted to showcase my vibrant personality, my humor, yet still express my vulnerability. I feel like this music represents how I truly live my life on my own terms – independent, carefree, and putting myself first. It’s for my own entertainment (and my friends’), and I hope to inspire other people to do the same!” – Sophia Galaté
Each track offers a glimpse into a different mood, from the infectious title track celebrating self-expression, to the boundary-setting groove “Please Don’t Talk to Me,” to the vulnerable, acoustic duet “Just For A Moment.” ‘For My Own Entertainment’ is the sound of Sophia having fun, taking risks, and stepping into her spotlight.
Blending rich vocals, dynamic grooves, and fearless storytelling, the album signals Sophia’s evolution into a more energetic and versatile sonic space, one that effortlessly crosses R&B, pop, and funk, while maintaining her signature emotional depth.

Following a tour last year with James Vickery, Galaté is now setting off on her own headline tour. The For My Own Entertainment, and Yours Too Tour will see the artist performing tracks from the new album.

About Sophia Galaté
Sophia Galaté doesn’t just make music – she builds a world where emotion, groove, and truth collide. Rooted in R&B and laced with pop sparkle and singer/songwriter emotion. Her sound blends old-school warmth with a modern edge. Her voice is instantly arresting – rich, warm, and unlike anyone else. It’s the kind of voice that cuts through the noise and stays with you.
Her songs feel like conversations with your best friend – vulnerable, direct, sometimes funny, and always real. A lifelong performer and singer however, Sophia took a detour prior to her artist debut by working behind the scenes in touring, marketing, and artist development before stepping fully into the spotlight. That experience sharpened her creative vision and made her a powerhouse on and off the stage.
Raised in Los Angeles and shaped by her time in Chicago’s vibrant music scene, she draws from nostalgic R&B, soul, and pop to craft a sound that’s timeless yet uniquely her own. Her music explores independence, sensuality, and self-worth with a balance of introspection and empowerment – and a relatable, playful edge.
Sophia has headlined sold-out shows in LA, New York, Chicago, and London, performed with artists at major festivals like Lollapalooza and SXSW and performed with artists like JoJo, Kenyon Dixon, Loony, and Naomi Sharon. She’s been featured across top streaming playlists and continues to earn recognition for her authenticity, artistry, and magnetic presence.
More than just a voice, Sophia Galaté is a vision: sultry, soulful, and fearless. Through her sound, visuals, and storytelling, she invites you into a world where self-expression reigns – and where putting yourself first is always in style.
