Shubhanshu Shukla, a Group Captain in the Indian Air Force (IAF), has made history as the second Indian astronaut to travel to space. He was part of the Axiom-4 private space mission, following Rakesh Sharma’s historic flight in 1984.
A new book titled “Sky Was Never the Limit” tells the inspiring story of Shubhanshu Shukla’s journey from Lucknow to the stars. Written by documentary filmmaker Narayan R and published by Rupa, this biography captures the exciting life of Shukla, from being a decorated fighter pilot and test pilot to becoming a space mission commander.
The book offers a detailed look into the life of this remarkable astronaut, highlighting his experiences both in the cockpit and within India’s top aviation community. Shukla participated in the Axiom-4 mission that launched from Florida on June 25 and successfully docked at the International Space Station (ISS) on June 26. He returned to Earth on July 15, marking a significant achievement in India’s space exploration efforts.
