Tulsi Vivah 2025: According to Hindu tradition, Tulsi Vivah marks the sacred marriage of Goddess Tulsi (holy basil) and Lord Vishnu, symbolizing the beginning of the wedding season in India. This year, Tulsi Vivah will be celebrated with great devotion, and it is believed that performing certain rituals on this day can help remove barriers in marriage and bring harmony, prosperity, and divine blessings into one’s life.

    Importance of Tulsi Vivah

Tulsi, considered a sacred plant and an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi, is worshipped for happiness, peace, and prosperity. The ritual of Tulsi Vivah is believed to cleanse negative energies and strengthen spiritual bonds. It is said that offering prayers on this day can help unmarried individuals find suitable partners and bless married couples with lasting harmony.

Auspicious Rituals to Perform on Tulsi Vivah

    1. Perform Tulsi-Vishnu Puja:
Bathe and decorate the Tulsi plant with new clothes, flowers, and ornaments. Place a photo or idol of Lord Vishnu beside it and perform the wedding ritual with traditional chants and offerings.
    2. Offer Sweets and Lamps:
Light a ghee lamp (diya) near the Tulsi plant and offer sweets, betel leaves, and fruits. This act is said to please Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu, bringing peace and prosperity to the home.
    3. Donate to the Needy:
Charity performed on Tulsi Vivah is considered highly auspicious. Donating food, clothes, or money in the name of Lord Vishnu and Tulsi can help remove marital and financial obstacles.
    4. Recite Vishnu Sahasranama or Tulsi Stotra:
Chanting sacred mantras and prayers dedicated to Tulsi and Lord Vishnu enhances positivity, strengthens relationships, and ensures divine protection.

    Spiritual Benefits

    • Removes delays or hurdles in marriage.
    • Brings harmony and understanding between couples.
    • Invites blessings of Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and well-being.
    • Purifies the home environment and promotes peace.
