Alia Bhatt has added “author” to her list of accomplishments. The celebrated actress, known for her roles in films like Brahmastra and her dynamic presence in the Indian film industry, has ventured into children’s literature with her debut picture book, The Adventures of Ed-a-Mamma: Ed Finds A Home.

“A new adventure begins,” Alia wrote in her Instagram post, accompanied by a photo of her proudly holding her debut book. The picture captured her radiant smile and the tangible excitement she felt about this new chapter in her life.

Ed Finds A Home is the first installment in a series inspired by Alia’s kidswear brand, Ed-a-Mamma. The book features whimsical and enchanting illustrations by the talented children’s book illustrator Tanvi Bhat. Aimed at captivating both young readers and their parents, the book promises to be a delightful addition to any child’s reading list.

In her heartfelt Instagram caption, Alia reflected on her own childhood, filled with rich storytelling experiences. “My childhood was full of storytelling and storytellers,” she reminisced. “And one day, I had a dream to bring out that child in me and put it into books for children.” Alia expressed her gratitude to her creative collaborators – Vivek Kamath, Shabnam Minwalla, and Tanvi Bhat- and acknowledged their significant contributions to the book’s creation.

For those eager to explore Alia’s enchanting new world, she shared that the book is now available both online and in major bookstores, making it accessible to a wide audience.

Alia Bhatt’s transition into children’s literature is a natural extension of her creative pursuits and entrepreneurial spirit. In 2020, she founded the kidswear and maternity wear brand Ed-a-Mamma, which quickly resonated with consumers. Demonstrating the brand’s success, Reliance Retail acquired a 51 percent stake in the label just last year, cementing its place in the market. This transition is not just a business move, but a genuine expression of Alia’s love for storytelling and her desire to inspire young minds.

With Ed Finds A Home, Alia Bhatt ventures into a new creative medium and continues expanding her influence and inspiring young minds. This book is poised to be the beginning of a beloved series, inviting children into a world of imagination and wonder.
