No resume. No experience. Just your passion for storytelling ZEE has launched a new writing opportunity called the ZEE Writers Room, a special program for people who dream of writing for TV, OTT, or films.
This is not a competition or a pitch event. Instead, it’s a space where fresh, new voices from across India can learn and grow with the help of expert screenwriters. Writers will get a chance to be mentored and guided in creating powerful scripts.
What makes it different?
You don’t need to submit a resume, past work, or story ideas. Selection will be based only on a 3-hour handwritten test. The test will take place in 32 cities across 14 states, and is open to people who write in 9 languages: Hindi, English, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Odia.
ZEE believes that India is full of amazing stories waiting to be told, and they want to give writers from all corners of the country a chance to shine.
If you love writing and want to turn your stories into scripts for the screen, this could be your chance.
