Hello everyone, and welcome to The RV Book Fair 2024! I’m Lucia Matuonto, creator of The Relatable Voice podcast and your host for this incredible journey we’re about to embark on together.
It’s hard to believe that only three years ago, this journey began with just a podcast and a simple mission: to create a space where authors could share their stories and connect deeply with readers. The Relatable Voice started as a virtual road trip, meeting authors and creatives from all around the world. And soon, we realized we needed something even bigger—an event to celebrate these incredible voices and their stories. And so, The RV Book Fair was born!
The RV Book Fair is an annual event for book lovers that gathers authors and creatives who share a love for storytelling. The Relatable Voice has now blossomed into a unique platform that brings together writers from all walks of life, crossing genres, styles, and borders to celebrate the magic of literature. I like to think of it as our very own literary road trip—RV + Creatives = A Journey into Literature!
This year’s RV Book Fair promises to be our most exciting event yet! From November 16th to November 23rd, we’ve planned an inspiring week filled with panel discussions, exclusive interviews, book previews, and captivating stories featured on both Catch the Story! and The Relatable Voice podcasts. Our lineup includes award-winning authors, emerging voices, and creative minds eager to share their journeys.
For the next eight days, you’ll hear from talented authors who have poured their hearts into their work, sharing both the highs and the lows of their creative journeys. This is our chance to not only celebrate their achievements but also dive into the stories behind their stories—their inspirations, their challenges, and their unwavering passion for storytelling.
This year, we have 25 authors and creatives who will be featured in the 2024 RV Book Fair. There is something for everyone. For our thriller-fans, we have a panel called The Art of Suspense: How Action Writers Keep Readers Hooked Until the Last Page. For parents and children’s book authors, we have a great panel called Teaching Through Tales: Writing Children’s Books that Make a Difference. We also are featuring conversations about historical romance, superheroes, uplifting stories that inspire you and even our love for pets.
Whether you’re a longtime passenger of The RV or joining us for the first time, I invite you to come along for the ride. This is our chance to get to know the incredible authors who bring the stories you love to life, and let’s celebrate the world of books together.
