Vedic astrology is an ancient Indian system of astrology that provides deep insights into an individual’s life through the analysis of their birth chart, Janam Kundli. There are nine planets in total, and out of which some are malefic planets. In this article, we will talk about the malefic planets in Vedic astrology.

    Saturn (Shani)

Saturn is often considered the most potent malefic planet. It represents discipline, delay, and hard lessons. Saturn is also associated with karma and can bring major challenges that need perseverance and hard work to overcome.

    Mars (Mangal)

While Mars can provide great benefits as well, it is considered a malefic because it causes aggression, conflict, or impulsiveness. If not placed well in a chart, Mars can easily become a reason for anger issues.

    Rahu

Rahu is not actually a planet but a North Node of the Moon. It symbolizes desires, obsessions, materialism, and addiction. Rahu often creates illusions and procrastination, leading a person to mental health issues as well.

    Ketu

Ketu is the South Node of the Moon and is associated with spirituality, detachment, and liberation. However, if a person is deeply attached with something, Ketu takes it away from the person depending upon its position. It can make a person disconnected from the world  and make one feel lonely as well.
