Review of Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library

Recently, I read Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library, which was not only a great read but also had a beautiful message to share!

Here is my take on the book The Midnight Library.

How often do you regret – lack of money, failures, fights, bad relationships, meaningless life and a lot more in your life? And what if you could everything wanted to and still sulking over life?

It is how life works; this is how humans work. We cry a little too much over what we have not in life rather than smile over what we have.

Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library comes up with a beautiful concept and touches your heart so profoundly that it becomes hard for you to miss noticing your heartbeats.

This book shares the story of a 35-year-old Nora Seed, past the night she takes an overdose of medicine and dies. She led a remorseful life. Her sorrows and sadness and cries were so full for her to seek reasons to be joyful.

To know what happens next, you better pick this book!

First of all, I would call this book ‘a continuous flow of emotions’. These emotions stream calmly yet make a huge impact. My heart kept beating fast while reading Nora’s thoughts, emotions, experiences, heartbreaks…

It is the contemporary usage of stream of consciousness, and, to be honest, I can relate to it. The issues, settings, environment, expectations, mental health, relationships and a lot more…

It is a little tough to review this book, but all I can say is that this book flows like life – sometimes good, sometimes tough – for all of us.

Even though simple, conversational language is used, it conveys some of the deepest messages in those words.

Also, I feel this book has its flaws but then, we all have flaws and vulnerabilities.

Life is worth living because that’s why we are here, away from all rights and wrongs we so commonly presume.

The Midnight Library is an emotion of life, and I would suggest all the readers read it to experience the feeling of life through this book because those who are yet to encounter life’s feelings, will remember this book once they encounter it.
