On Mahashivratri, devotees can perform special pujas in honor of Lord Shiv. Shiv Ling Abhishekam is quite popular on the auspicious day. You can offer water, milk, honey, ghee, and other sacred items to Shiv Ling. Other than this, devotees can light diyas around the Shiv Ling or outside their home.
