Reading is one of the most special experiences that readers have, and each of us approaches literature in our own way. From the genres to the formats in which we read, our reading preferences reveal much about our personalities. Here’s a look at some of the common types of readers:

    The Escapist reader

As the name suggests, escapist readers seek refuge in books, which helps them to transport to different worlds instead of living in the real world. By reading different genres like fantasy, science fiction, romance novels, and many more, they get a chance to throw off the stress of real life and enter a world of different characters.

    The Intellectual Reader

The intellectual readers are quite serious about what they are reading, so they often enjoy books that provoke thought and arouse discussion. They love reading non-fiction, philosophy, or literary classics. Reading such books may make them deep thinkers.

    The Series Reader

When it comes to the series readers, they always prefer reading multi-book series over a standalone book. By reading such books, they get more time to dive deeper into the story, characters, and their journeys. Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are some of the best examples of popular book series.
