Reading is one of the imperative skills that help us to gain knowledge, stay updated, enjoy literature. However, many people struggle to keep up with the speed of reading. Increasing your reading speed can significantly improve your efficiency and understanding. Here are some effective ways to increase your reading speed:

    Know Your Current Reading Speed

Before thinking about improving your reading speed, it is important to know where you stand. Take a moment to read a passage and note down your reading speed. Count the words and calculate your words per minute (WPM) to get a better understanding.

    Set Easy Goals

Like any skill, improving your reading speed will take its time to improve, so set some goals to increase your WPM by a certain percentage. It would help you notice and understand that your reading speed is getting faster. Also, note down the words you find tough while reading.

    Practice Regularly

If you want to increase your reading speed, then you have to be consistent and read daily. By practicing every day, you will slowly become more comfortable with reading, and your speed will increase automatically. Set specific time to practice reading every day.
