WELCOME TO WORLDAUTHORS.ORG, EILEEN CAREY! HOW DOES IT FEEL TO RELEASE YOUR NEW SINGLE “THIS IS WHERE”?
Thank you! Cool site! Special!! It is a special song, and it really resonates with people, and that is exciting! The numbers that it is receiving on YouTube, Spotify etc. is heartwarming. I knew it was a different kind of love song and though me and my team were crazy about it we crossed our fingers. Lol!
“THIS IS WHERE” EXPLORES GROWTH AFTER HEARTBREAK. WHAT INSPIRED THE EMOTIONAL STORY BEHIND THE SONG?
Though not necessarily biographical we all know early emotions, love and if we are lucky, can relive memories at times. I tell stories. That is what I do. This song allows for real growth, empathy and success in a future relationship. I believe what we really hold onto at the end is the memories we have, and the events and relationships we have had along the journey.

YOUR MUSIC IS OFTEN DESCRIBED AS “WEST COAST POP-COUNTRY.” HOW WOULD YOU PERSONALLY DEFINE YOUR SOUND?
West Coast Pop-Country is a bright, melodic blend of pop-country hooks, California storytelling, and light rock influences, creating a sound that feels sunny, upbeat, and polished. It leans less on Nashville twang and more on smooth, radio-friendly production, with themes of independence, optimism, open-road freedom, and coastal life woven through the lyrics. The result is country music with a warm West Coast glow — catchy, accessible, emotionally uplifting, and built for both pop listeners and country fans.
YOU’VE TOPPED MULTIPLE RADIO CHARTS THROUGHOUT YOUR CAREER. WHICH ACHIEVEMENT HAS FELT THE MOST MEANINGFUL TO YOU SO FAR?
There are a number really. All the chart success is meaningful to me. The achievement that comes to mind for this answer would be my winning The New Music Awards 2022 & 2023 Crossover Artist of the Year. It represented to me the breadth of my music. Knowing that I am reaching all kinds of people.
YOU’VE SHARED THE STAGE WITH LEGENDARY ARTISTS LIKE DON MCLEAN AND JEFFERSON STARSHIP. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM PERFORMING ALONGSIDE SUCH ICONIC MUSICIANS?
Details! Every detail of their live performances is paid attention to. You don’t get to where these artists are without focus. They are aware of their brand at all times. You learn how to engage a crowd, which I love to do. Working aside them is an education in rock, pop, country history. Sharing stages with them an education on performance. I always learn from what these people do.
YOUR LIVE PERFORMANCES ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR ENERGY AND AUDIENCE INTERACTION. WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT CONNECTING WITH FANS ON STAGE?
Honesty. Eye to eye real themes, I am personal with my fans on the stage, and as I have always said the stage is the place I am most comfortable in life, so I guess my joy translates. My audience knows me and talks to me from the floor and seats, lol!
I am a storyteller with a light at the end of the tunnel. I field a world class band of veteran musicians who have played with so many major label artists and have had their own notable careers and who have been with me for years. We put on a world class performance every show! Bang for the buck performances. I contend that my band can share a stage with anyone anywhere in the world. My fans know that I offer a quality original music experience that is melodic, danceable and resonant.
BEYOND MUSIC, YOU’RE ALSO THE FOUNDER OF THE MUSIC MOM BLOG. HOW DO MOTHERHOOD, WELLNESS, AND CREATIVITY INFLUENCE YOUR SONGWRITING?
It has everything to do with it. Many of my earlier releases were written by what I saw my daughters going through. I get my ideas from people, places and things that catch me and that need to be told in a story and a song. Many of them are what I observe with women in our industry trying to live, have a family, children.
AS AN INDEPENDENT ARTIST, WHAT CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES HAVE SHAPED YOUR JOURNEY IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?
Being a musician who got her start in the Country music world, the greatest hurdle was being a women artist. Bythe same toke it was acountry radio promoter.
WHAT CAN FANS EXPECT NEXT FROM EILEEN CAREY IN TERMS OF UPCOMING MUSIC, TOURS, OR FUTURE PROJECTS?
I got this kick-butt band, and we are looking to play more live shows this year!
“Eileen Carey is a powerhouse performer who can bring a crowd of complete strangers together with her infectious energy and irresistibly catchy country music. While she brings to the stage that bustling folk charisma so commonly associated with country, she also delivers hard-hitting hooks and effervescent melodies that land in the realm of pop. She’s an effortless crossover artist who could command any crowd with her intimate anecdotes and brazen vocals.” – Eileen Carey Shines as an Infectious Beacon of Passion at the Whiskey a Go Go in Los Angeles – // MELODIC Magazine
