Dogopo has announced the launch of its Missing Dog Helpline, a free service to help families searching for lost dogs and guide people who find dogs that seem lost. The helpline will go live on January 5, 2026 (Monday) and is a key focus for Dogopo in the new year.
Announcing the initiative, founder Dr. Gaurav Gulati said the helpline was inspired by understanding how emotionally overwhelming it is for families when a dog goes missing.
“When a dog disappears, parents are left with fear, guilt, and constant uncertainty,” he said. “Our intention is very simple: to help lost dogs return home safely and to support parents during one of the most painful moments they experience.”
The Missing Dog Helpline lets dog parents submit detailed reports when a dog goes missing. Dogopo then amplifies the information by publishing it on its platform and sharing it on social media. Location-based hashtags and targeted outreach help the message reach people near where the dog was last seen.
Dogopo encourages families to share details like photographs, identifying features, last-seen location, and contact information. Accurate and timely information is crucial for successful reunions.
The helpline also supports people who find a lost dog and are unsure how to locate the family. By sharing details and photographs, they can help ensure the dog is reunited or guided to safety.
As part of the launch, Dogopo asks the public to follow them on Instagram, where alerts about missing dogs will be shared. Community participation is central to the initiative.
“This is not something one platform can do alone,” Dr. Gulati added. “Reunions happen when people care and act. Let’s unite to reunite dogs with their families.”
The service is completely free and accessible across regions.
