Double Gold and Platinum award-winning artist AViVA is an artist unafraid of baring all in her music. The Los Angeles based artist describes her songs as being about the “Outsider experience” something clearly expressed in both her lyrics and the sonic palate of her catalogue.
AViVA’s latest single, “Heaven & Hell,” is a bold, anthemic release from her forthcoming album Eyes Wide Shut. With raw guitars, pounding percussion, and soaring vocals, the track captures both sonic power and emotional depth. Lyrically, it offers a critique of the passivity and soul-selling often associated with the music industry—a world AViVA has deliberately remained independent from, refusing to hand over her masters or compromise her values. “‘Heaven & Hell’ reflects my own experiences,” she shares. “The devil, literal or not, sits waiting for the next artist to fall into the trap.” Still, she leaves space for the listener to interpret the song through their own lens. “I have my story, but I want others to apply their own lives and feelings to it. That’s something I always strive for in my music.”
