Reading can be one of the most entertaining and fulfilling activities you can engage in. However, for beginners, it may feel like a tough task. Whether you want to gain knowledge, escape into new worlds, or simply enjoy a good story, start your reading journey with proper guidance.

    Read What Excites You

Choose genres that genuinely excite you. Whether it’s fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, romance, children’s literature, or self-help, pick up something that you would love to read. It will make the process enjoyable.

    Start with Short Stories/Novellas

Instead of picking up novels, you can start your reading journey with shorter books or novellas as a beginner. It will help you finish a book quickly and get some real self-confidence to read books. If possible, avoid reading classic books that have heavy language, which is often tough for a new reader.

    DNF a book, if required

If you struggle with reading a book, then you can put it down and try something else. Don’t be adamant about finishing a book that you started, as not all books are meant for everyone. Reading is not a chore but a moment of enjoyment.
