The Bhagavad Gita is a 700-verse Hindu scripture that is part of the Indian epic Mahabharata. Commonly referred to as the Gita, it is a conversation between Lord Krishna and Prince Arjuna. The ancient text offers profound wisdom that remains relevant even today. Here are the three reasons to read the Bhagavad Gita:

    1. Timeless wisdom of life’s crisis

The Gita talks about fundamental questions about life, duty, karma, and morality. When Arjun faces a moral crisis on the battlefield, Lord Krishna gives him the most important lessons of life that help him understand how to handle the situation.

    2. Spiritual Guidance

For those who wish to become more and more spiritual, the Bhagavad Gita is a roadmap for them, as the ancient text highlights the importance of self-realization and the pursuit of inner peace. Krishna teaches Arjuna about devotion, knowledge, and disciplined action.

    3. Philosophical Depth

It is said that the Bhagavad Gita has all the answers to the questions a person may have. It delves into philosophical concepts such as Dharma (duty/righteousness), Karma (action), and Moksha (liberation). Gita’s teachings encourage a person to self-reflect on their own beliefs and values, getting a deeper meaning of life.
