Mythology has been engaging humans for centuries, intertwining tales of gods, heroes, and cosmic energies and battles that connect with our deepest fears and aspirations. While modern literature provides a variety of genres and themes, mythological books still hold a special place in the literary world. Here are the three reasons one must read mythological books:

    1. Cultural and historical insights

Mythological texts provide us the windows to look at the culture we have come from and serve us the values, beliefs, and social structures of ancient times that we are slowly losing. By reading myths from different cultures—be it Hindu, Greek, Norse, or American—we gain a profound understanding of different cultures and histories.

    2. Exploration of Universal Themes

There is nothing better than myths to tackle the fundamental questions about existence: what is the meaning of life? What is the difference between good and evil? Is it fate or free will? Such questions are presented perfectly in the mythological texts.

    3. Lessons on Morality and Ethics

There are many myths that talk about the moral lessons through the trials and punishments faced by their characters. These myths serve as cautionary tales, teaching us the value of virtues like humility, courage, and wisdom.
